Cable & Conduit Wrap

The most common material used for this application is the Armaflex AP insulation. The key advantage of this low-cost insulation is that it can be provided in many forms. If you have a large area to cover, we can supply the insulation in sheets up to 48" width with an adhesive backing, and we can die cut shapes for this material as well.

The Armaflex can also be wrapped around pipes or traditional aluminum ducting to decrease sound vibration. In this instance, we can slit material to a predetermined width and provide it with or without adhesive backing. Then the piping and ducting can be wrapped like the handle of a baseball bat to enclose the metal and keep it from producing noise when vibrating in transit.

If covering a standard size round pipe or conduit, the Armaflex AP is also available in 6 ft. lengths of formed tubing. We can provide the tubing in un-slit lengths or slit along the length with adhesive on each side of the slit to aid in installation.

Of course we can slit and custom die cut our silicone materials for this application, such as our HT-800, HT-870, BF1000 or even the SC-41 closed cell neoprene, but they are not available in tubing.

HT 800 A highly versatile, medium firmness silicone that offers the lightness of a foam with the enhanced sealing capabilities of a traditional sponge rubber.

HT 870 The high compressibility and durability of this soft cellular silicone makes it ideal for sealing enclosures, protecting electronics, and providing vibration isolation for various applications.

BF 1000 The high compressibility and durability of this soft silicone allows it to adapt to various environments, making it ideal for sealing outdoor enclosures, protecting electronics, and various cushioning applications.
